It felt like ages since I had last been in Princeton for an engagement session, and it was so great to be back! Princeton in the fall is unmatched — the foliage, the light, everything is picture perfect. And so was meeting Alexa and Greg for the first time! These two are so sweet and we had the best time making our way around this stunning campus.
Alexa and Greg first met in October of 2017 at a mutual friend’s birthday celebration! As Alexa tells it, “We met at her house and then went out for drinks. Greg’s friend led him to believe that we were being set up at this birthday party, but I was actually meeting a guy I had gone on a date with a few weeks before, so Greg was basically set up for failure. But once I met Greg, that was it. It was pretty much love at first sight (or love at first Long Island Iced Tea).”
These two got engaged four years later in Orlando, Florida! “We had gone down on a Thursday for his cousin’s wedding on Friday, and then my family flew down on Saturday for our family vacation. On that Sunday we went to Universal, and my dad really wanted us to take pictures in front of the Universal globe. So I took them with my four siblings and then it was just me and Greg in front of the globe — when we finished and I went to walk away, he stopped me and proposed. I was shocked and my whole family was shocked, except my dad who was in on it. He usually acts pretty weird so I didn’t even question why he was being so weird that day, but after it all made sense. My dad is terrible at keeping secrets and was almost more nervous than Greg.”
Alexa’s ring is oval shaped with diamonds around the band. Although she had sent Greg an inspiration picture long before he bought it, it was still a total surprise to her!
Together these two love to go on walks and hikes together, watch Netflix, go out to eat, travel, and cook meals at home. I am so excited for their wedding next fall at The Addison Park, it’s going to be a beautiful day!
