Lakeside Destination Wedding at Town Manor

Auburndale, Florida

Ashley and Adam’s lakeside wedding day was truly magical! I have known Ashley and her family since we were little (aka pre-teen horse girls), so it was truly such an honor to capture her special day — and I could not be happier that she found someone like Adam to spend her forever with.

The first time I met Adam was during their engagement session, which they flew up to New Jersey from Florida for, and I liked him instantly. He’s the type of person that you get along with right away, and I could immediately feel how strong his love was for Ashley. Ashley and Adam are teachers at the same school, and first met thanks to their co-workers conspiring to get them together. Thankfully that plan worked, and now they get to spend the rest of their lives together, along with their many animals — including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and horses!

All week leading up to Ashley and Adam’s wedding, there were thunderstorms in the forecast. Florida weather, however, changes in the blink of an eye, and we were fortunate enough to have a bright, sunny day with just enough cloud cover to make for the most beautiful lighting for photos.

Alongside their closest family and friends, Ashley and Adam exchanged vows under the lush and romantic Spanish moss. They shared their promises to each other, and just like that their union was made official. Knowing Ashley for so much of my life, this ceremony was even more emotional than usual — although I must admit I always get misty eyed whenever a bride walks down the aisle to “A Thousand Years.”

As the sun set over the lake, a beautiful choreographed first dance beneath the palms was the sweetest way to celebrate Ashley and Adam’s new marriage. Throughout dinner, I brought them out for sunset portraits not only once, but twice, and it was so worth it to capture such gorgeous, glowy photos. The night ended with their exit — a romantic ride in a classic car, and once all of the guests had left they returned for their sweet last dance of the night.

I can’t imagine a more perfect day for two people who deserved it more than words can even begin to express. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, so much love for you both!
